Notes
Trash incinerator operated here from 1925-1970 and was renovated and expanded in 1960. It was promoted as a "Cadillac" facility, but was so bad, it violated local pollution laws and was shut down as a nuisance. It currently sits as a fire burn tower and is surrounded by a number of schools. 2011 testing found benzo-a-pyrene, benzene, toluene, arsenic, barium, lead and cadmium contamination. New soil testing is ongoing in 2013.
