2010: "a 50-acre waste disposal area, was permitted in 1977 and is now closed, along with Areas II and III, built between 1983 and 1990. Landfill Areas IV and V were permitted in 1990 and are still in use." "New landfill cells � called Area VI and Area VII � will be built over 33 years, filled slowly at a rate of about two feet annually until they become mounds 92 and 100 feet high. Construction on the new pits won't begin until 2014, for a targeted 2016 opening."
