Located 8 miles east of Great Falls, MT. This plant began construction early because of a Nov. 30 regulatory deadline (their air permits would expire and they would need to reapply.) Though they began construction, financing was uncertain, as they were still looking for loans from banks and began with only enough money to pay for the foundation. In early February 2009, the plant was cancelled. Developers of the plant announced that they plan to build a natural gas plant (120MW) and wind farm instead of the coal plant.
