20 miles south of I-40 near Arkansas In fall of 2008 AES attemped to force ratepayers (OG&E) to pay for pollution controls. The Oklahoma Corporation Commission (OCC) ruled that AES could not force ratepayers to pay these expenses. In 2008 AES proposed a Shady Point II, referred to here as the proposed 630MW unit. Coal powering Shady Point II would mostly come from WY, while some would come from OK (10%). Ash goes to Thumbs Up Ranch Fly Ash Disposal Site near Bokoshe, OK
