Hunlock Power Station is a repower project converting from coal-fired to natural gas combined cycle utilizing (2) 45 MW GE-LM6000 turbines. The addition of a Heat Recovery Steam Generator (HRSG) allows for using the existing coal-fired turbine without coal. Instead the turbine captures heat from the new GE-LM6000 units to operator at 35MW. The total production of this plant increased significantly. The plant was completed for operation in the summer of 2011 with a contracted capacity of 130 MW.
