Scoping hearings were held in August 2007, as of spring 2009 Basin Electric Power Cooperative has submitted an air permit and is waiting for approval. The location was undetermined, but BEPC was scoping out Pierra and Selby. As of August 2010, the project was not listed on the Basin Electric Power Cooperative website. The project may have been abandoned.
