permit conditions allow only 1,000 tons/day to be burned, but existing two boilers can handle 1,212 tons/day; has never burned more than 1,000 tons/day yet An effort in 2013 to expand the incinerator's permitted capacity by 212 tons was defeated in January 2014 when the county withdrew their request under pressure from the community.
