Notes
coal comes from Arch Coal's Black Thunder mine in WY According to Green America, this plant is rated as the most polluting in the country. This plant emits 28 million tons of carbon into the air annually. Furthermore, also at the plant's site is a coal ash pond 19 times larger than the impoundment in TN that broke in late 2008. This plant is owned by Southern Company, one of the largest contributors to Congressional candidates.
