"The Roseburg Forest Products boiler in Weed rises 72 feet in the air. A cogeneration project would add an electrical turbine to the plant. A plan to add a 15 megawatt electrical generator to an existing steam boiler at the Roseburg Forest Products facility in Weed is being challenged by an appeal to the Siskiyou County Board of Supervisors. … The plant manufactures veneer for plywood and other engineered wood products. Its boiler has been in operation for many years as a heat source for drying wood at the facility"
Rosenburg Forest Products is one of the largest privately owned wood-products companies in the US. The plant would burn ~ 250 cords of wood daily and is located close to residential neighborhoods and schools.
